TGC is actively seeking to recruit a Sr. Security Engineer/Architect for an immediate 9 months assignment for a client at the Bronx,NY. Ideal candidate will have the following skills: CCIE Security or CCIE Routing and Switching (One of these required) CISSP, CCSP, GIAC Certification (Recommended) Description: Primary Skills required: 2. 8 year experience in IT with at least 5 years working as a senior security consultant 3. Well rounded security professional with exposure to all aspects of IT security in an enterprise environment 4. 2-3 years experience with security monitoring, analyzing Network, Windows, Web and Database security logs 5. 2 years experience with Arcsight 6. Expertise in Cisco ASA Firewalls 7. Expertise in Web Server Security , Windows and Wireless security 8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills 9. Strong knowledge of HIPAA/NIST Security standards 10. Administrative experience with RedHat, Solaris, and Windows 2000 Server OS; 11. Working knowledge of scripting/programming (C++, Perl etc) Responsibility: 1. Act as the highest point of escalation for all IT security incidents 2. Design and implement security solutions under tight deadlines and in a complex multi vendor environment 3. Identify business risks and recommend appropriate counter measures 4. Troubleshooting and deployment of endpoint and perimeter security solutions including but not limited to Antivirus, Encryption, Data Loss Prevention, Vulnerability Management, Mobile Device Security and IPS. 5. Improve security monitoring efforts through automation and false positive reduction and provide operational guidance to the existing security monitoring team 6. Co-ordinate incident response across multiple teams while providing technical assistance 7. Prevent, Manage and Contain worm/virus outbreaks. 8. Security monitoring, analyzing security alerts (primarily from IDS, IPS, Firewall, Windows, *NIX, Web Proxy, AntiVirus, NetQoS etc) using a SIM tool and escalating them to local support personnel. 9. Review Network and Security architecture and provide guidance for deployment of new technologies and integration with existing technologies 10. Act as Subject Matter Expert for security and recommend best practices to the client on all IT initiatives from a security perspective 11. Perform forensic analysis for data/system breaches 12.
