Exchange Engineer Job summary: -Provide System Engineer technical support and expertise for Microsoft Enterprise Exchange messaging technology. --Works with the engineering team to develop messaging service standards and best practices. -- Will perform in complex engagements developing enterprise designs around Microsoft based messaging technologies with both deployment and migration content. -- Design, develop, engineer, and implement industry-leading technology solutions and robust capabilities-based development and integration services; will utilize the full Systems Development Lifecycle Cycle (SDLC) process and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework implementation and support to small and mid-size complex system integration projects. -- Designs, test, installs and creates documentation for the MS Exchange environments. -- Provide technical support to the operational team in developing maintenance and backup procedures, change control processes, system configuration management and operational documentation. -- Implements and performs capacity planning, performance monitoring and reporting processes. -- Directly supports Windows messaging products, and related technologies. -- Will be a systems engineer/system integrator and support IT Operations team (as required) -- Will support a rotating after-hours on-call schedule. Minimum Requirements: Education: -- Bachelor*s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent. Special Skills/Knowledge: -- Strong engineering principle/methodology in systems design, development, test, evaluation and integration (knowledge in Information Assurance is a plus). -- Experienced in Technical Design in Systems Engineering, Network Engineering, Security Engineering, Systems Architecture, Systems Integration, Network Integration -- Microsoft Enterprise Messaging Administrator 2007 & 2010 certified (MCITP) or Microsoft Certified Master (MCM) in MS Exchange are a plus -- CompTIA Security+ certification -- Have a deep knowledge of Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010, Windows Server products, Active Directory, networking standards, clustering, virtualization, and optimization technologies and strategies. -- Specialized in MS Exchange Server with at least 3 to 5 years hands on experience in Microsoft Exchange server 2007/2010 messaging technology design, implementation, and administration. -- At least 5 years experience in analyzing client*s current IT environment and technical requirements. -- At least 5 years experience in creating work products, technical design documents and architectural solutions. -- At least 5 years experience in transformation of enterprise messaging systems for migration or deployment, consolidation or optimization. -- Strong written and analytical skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills. -- Self-motivated and independent in developing engineering solutions. Related Work Experience: -- Minimum of 7 years experiences in IT field. -- Knowledgeable with Standard Industry Security Technologies: Cyber Security, SSL VPN technologies, Firewall/VPN, IPSEC, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Digital Certificates, FIPS 140-2, FIPS 201 -- Knowledge of the Federal Government and environment -- Knowledge of NIST, OMB standards and guidelines Other -- US Citizenship
