Job Description: Accounts Receivable Specialist (Letters of Credit) Our customer, the world’s leading distributor of aerospace fasteners and consumables for the commercial, business jet and military markets is seeking an experienced AR Specialist. Position Details: Long term temporary (with possibility of temp to hire) Position: Accounts Receivable Specialist Location: Carson Hours: 8am to 5 pm Pay Rates: $16.25 Our client is seeking an AR Specialist with Letter of Credit (MANDATORY) for customers in the Asia Pacific region. The AR Specialist will also lend administrative support to the sales team and interact daily with operations and freight forwarders to expedite shipments. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: General Accounting • Prepare and reconcile all documents relating to LC’s for submission to the bank • Update weekly LC reports and schedules • Responsible for calling customer to collect past dues • Approve new customer information and maintain customer master files • Responsible for releasing orders • Assist supervisor with resolving issues • Assist with gathering the correct information for IT system set ups for “special billing” projects • Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned Required Skills: - Minimum of 2 years A/R letters of credit experience - Strong skills in excel and word - Experience working in a fast paced distribution environment - Strong sense of urgency - must be able to expedite - Minimum of 1 year experience in a customer service environment with external vendor contract - Basic knowledge of accounting policies, practices and systems - Self assured to question/review current and future processes for improvement Preferred: - Multilingual - English and Chinese - Experience supporting a sales team - Experience working with a Chinese customer base Minimum Education Required: High School Years of Experience Required: At Least 3 Years Expected Travel Time: None Keywords: Accounting
