Our client is in need of a talented Senior Level Software Engineer for a 6 month temporary assignment in their Austin, TX location. The Sr. Software Engineer's will be part of the Treasury Development Team an responsibilities will include the following: alongside other members of the Treasury Development Team, will partake in designing, implementing, and testing features for Our Client's transaction processing solution; support of development initiatives that pertain to stability, capacity, and performance improvements, as well as system and database tuning initiatives and complex problem analysis aimed at improving report and transactional throughput. Requirements: The Ideal Candidate will have following experience and technical skills: - Must have 5 to 8 years J2EE Development experience. - Must have 5 to 8 years UML modeling experience. - Must have 3 to 5 years J2EE software design patterns experience. - Must have 3 to 5 years experience with multi-tier software architectures. - Must have 3 to 5 years Web 2.0 technologies experience, such as JSP, Web Services, XML, and Ajax. - Must have 1 to 3 years experience mentoring or leading a development team. - Must have 3 to 5 years experience with database development (Oracle and/or JDBC preferred). - Must have 3 to 5 years experience using a recognized software development lifecycle methodology to include software and requirements traceability. - Must have 3 to 5 years functional and non-functional requirements analysis experience. - Must have 3 to 5 years data structures, algorithms and complex systems analysis experience. - Must have 3 to 5 years experience in high-volume, transaction-processing production systems. - Must have 1 to 3 years experience with analysis and resolution of complex problems. - Excellent technical leadership skills, as well as oral and written communication skills are required. - Must have a strong understanding and/or experience with server, storage and network virtualization Tool Requirements. - Must have 3 to 5 years Eclipse Development Platform experience. - Must have 3 to 5 years working with an enterprise UML modeling tool (Sparx EA preferred). - Must have 3 to 5 years software configuration management systems (Rational preferred) experience. - Must have 3 to 5 years working with Oracle and PL-SQL. - Must have 1 to 3 years experience performing database queries and using performance tuning tools (Toad for Oracle preferred). ***Local Candidates are Strong Preferred! *** *Volt Workforce Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer* Location: Austin, TX Type: CONTRACT Duration: 120 - 180 Days Pay Rate: DOE Contact: Volt Technical Resources 7490 Opportunity Rd.
