Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Business Analyst for a contract assignment with one of our premier financial industry clients in New York, NY. Responsibilities: * Gathering of detailed business requirements and deliver detailed business functional requirements specifications * Assisting the Development Team with Technical Design * Document system data flows, business process designs, test specifications and training materials * Managing/Coordinating the System & UAT Testing processes * Documenting and assisting in training of end users with new functionality * Assistance with Implementation and support of Post Implementation Support Issues * Assist with project management aspects of other adhoc projects and/or systems as determined by the US EDIT Program Manager Required Skills: * 3-5 years experience in a business analysis capacity in either a front of back office development environment * Minimum 5 years experience in the Investment Banking Industry (preferred Investment Banking Front Office Technology) * Degree in technical or business related disciplines (Comp Science, Finance, Ecomonics) * Experience with financial system application implementation * Experience with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies * Financial knowledge of derivative products & front to back trade lifecycle * Strong communication skills both written and oral- lead/drive meetings when required * Good time management skills and proven ability in meeting deadlines and working in a pressurized front office facing high pressure and results-driven team environment * Strong literacy in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Visio * Ability to interact with a large trading floor * Ability to accurately to understand and document business requirements * Ability to interact with the software development teams to ensure requirements are fully understood * Ability to understand both plain vanilla and complex OTC and Listed Equity Derivative products * Ability to understand the front to back trade lifecycle for Equity Derivatives * Ability to work under strenuous schedules when necessary (e.g. greater than 8 hrs) * Ability to multi-task numerous projects and/or requirements concurrently * Ability to communicate effectively and drive project meetings when necessary SGA is a Certified Womans Business Enterprise (WBE) celebrating over thirty years of service to our national client base.
