Part-Time IT Helpdesk / Desktop Support
Looking for a well rounded candidate that is experienced and comfortable working with PC Workstations, Servers and Networking Technology. We strive to deliver high quality I.T. Who We Are * We are certified professionals and pride ourselves on quality of work and services. * We are a local start-up based in Pleasanton, CA * We support small-to-medium sized businesses Work Scope * Part-Time * On Call Basis * Few hours per week Experience / Qualifications * Extensive knowledge of Windows XP Pro - Windows 7 Operating Systems. * Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office 2003, 2007 and 2010+ * Experience with Server 2003 and 2008, Exchange 2003, 2007 and 2010+ � Ability to troubleshoot and resolve hardware / peripheral / software problems. � Ability to troubleshoot network port / wireless connectivity issues. * 3+ Years prior IT Work Experience * A+, MCP (Or other related I.T. Certification) * Associates Degree or Technical Equivalent ( 3+ years work experience ) * Strong understanding of networking including DNS, TCP/IP, FTP, VPN * Exceptional communications skills, and a proven history of providing customer service and support that exceeds expectations * Strong Problem Solving and Troubleshooting Skills Responsibilities but not limited to * Travel to customer sites to provide on-site support * Maintain PC and Server Workstations (configuration, updates, upgrades, patches, active directory, services, networking) * Server/Workstation Deployments * System Security (Configuring firewall, manual virus removals, service/application analysis / log checking) * Provide Remote Support for Trouble Tickets and Customers * Provide on-site Printer, Email and Device Support * Workstation Backup and Imaging Must be able to * Identify and resolve issues quickly * Document issues and resolutions in-depth * Communicate and escalate issues when needed be * Able to access and use ticketing system to update projects, issues and resolutions * Pass a hands on I.T. test * Pass background check * Work well independently in a fast pace environment * Have flexible work hours/days * Be available on-call to assist with IT support issues after hours and weekends * Work independently * Interact with clients and provide a high level of customer support * Comfortable working in server rooms and with networking technologies Please reply with your desired hourly rate, your work availability, experience and technical certifications.
