The consultant will be part of the project team that will develop a new Budget Management System (BMS). BMS is a technology solution to manage and track the Agency's 5-year budgets. The system will provide comprehensive management reports, audit trails of all changes, extensive workflow and integrate with other internal financial systems. This system will allow the Agency to easily and automatically roll-out the fiscal year budget and provide insight into out-year budgets. Main Duties: Work closely with the Project Manager and Business Analyst to understand the business and functional requirements for Phase 1 and 2 of BMS Create technical design documents Develop Microsoft SQL 2008 database and .NET middle-tier objects Develop BMS user interface utilizing the latest .NET technologies Develop Microsoft SSRS 2008 reports as per requirements Perform unit testing of all code Work closely with Quality Assurance team to ensure system is working properly Assist with the deployment of application Desirable Skills/Experience: Experience in Microsoft team foundation server environment Experience in implementation of popular Microsoft design patterns Experience collaborating with cross functional teams on large-scale projects Experience leading in the design and architecture of web-based 3-tier software systems Experience in continuous build and deployment (NAnt or CruiseControl.Net or any .Net build tools)
