Job Title : Sr. VM Ware Engineer Location : Northbrook, IL Type : CONTRACT Duration : 12-18 Months JOB REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge and Skills Required: Strong hands-on experience in design and implementing of VMware Vshpere 4.X/5.x, VCenter, Capacity IQ or other health and capacity management tools such as VCenter operations manager, SRM implementation. Knowledge and experience with toolsets for monitoring and automation, Backup, Antivirus for VMware space. Experience with HP servers specifically Blade Server environment. CISCO UCS experience is highly preferred. Experience with VCloud director in Production or Lab environment is preferred. Good industry knowledge in virtualization space – the Roadmap, Cloud strategy. Good understanding and knowledge of Storage Area Network (Hitachi & EMC) , Networking, High Availability, DR & BCP, Security, Databases etc preferred from perspective of implementing a large scale VMware implementation. Ability to consult client by identifying problem areas and recommending solution options with pros and cons, in order to influence client’s decision. Ability to create simple and concise documentation and articulate key points in order to influence clients decision. VCP certification is preferred but not required. Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of with hands-on experience in large scale implementations of VMware Environment.
