The Application Architecture Services provides Solution and Architecture services to all IT teams across the enterprise. The team works with the Data, Security, and Infrastructure Teams to create a holistic solution to meet customer needs. The Team actively supports EA in creating and realizing Enterprise-level Roadmaps and Strategies across Business and IT disciplines. The Architect will collaborate under the direction of the Chief Architect and working in the Web and Mobile areas; leveraging in-depth technical knowledge and vision to advance our client's Architectural Capabilities and Maturity across the Enterprise. The Architect will endeavor to safeguard IT Application Architecture interests across the enterprise. The Architect should at all times demonstrate 'seasoned' judgment to suggest approaches that optimize among customer needs, business constraints, and technological realities; while striving to realize the Future State vision of IT. The Architect will document the solutions leveraging existing standards and create new templates where required; present them to appropriate company and project specific governing bodies for review and approval. Consulting skills are imperative to gain consensus on solutions proposed. The Architect needs to be experienced in designing application focused solutions. Perform architectural analysis, identify issues, and provide solutions to the business. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: Influence, guide, and mentor Architects across the entire Organization Actively participate in the development of Applications Architecture as a key foundation of IT within the Corporation Actively support Enterprise Architecture discipline as a key discipline Participate in the development and execution of the IT governance process Drive the technical strategy and lead team(s) in meeting the strategic objectives Coach, mentor, and delegate to Technology Skills Required: Healthcare domain experience Strong ability to build partnerships and influence others that are not in the direct sphere of control Strong ability to earn the respect of technical personnel across application and application teams Strong ability to rapidly learn new techniques and technologies and apply them Strong ability to correlate current and local issues and considerations with future enterprise needs issues and considerations Strong ability to analyze; consolidate; and communicate complex technical topics to all levels of staff (including but not limited to IT executives, business / technical managers, developers, and system administrators) in verbal and written form Strong detail orientation, follow-through capabilities and escalation of key issues Strong analytical and problem solving skills - good relationship management and negotiation Experience in the integration of middleware technologies such as IBM, ESB, and SOA Strong in Web technologies such as Spring, Hibernate, and WebSphere Application Servers, WebSphere Process Server, ATG, and the IBM Message Broker Facets and Edifices expertise is a plus Minimum 7 years in an architectural role
