Kforce is seeking a Project Manager for a client that is located in Charlotte, North Carolina. This Project Manager will be able to also work remote. Our client is seeking someone that demonstrates an understanding of customer's tactical goals and effectively participates in the development and implementation of business solutions. This person will manage project risk through comprehensive mitigation assessment and planning techniques as well as actively manage the work efforts of multiple functional resources through the project plan. The Project Manager will establish basic scope control procedures; develop documentation; monitor and report project status; and assess the effectiveness and accuracy of documentation. The PM will initiate and maintain reporting relationships with project stakeholders including team members, peers, managers, customers, vendors, and other affected departments to coordinate efforts across multiple business units and ensure continuous efficient management of projects; gathers input and feedback. Analyze and report project status and research information; and monitor project performance to maintain the quality of services, deliverables, and content. Effectively assist in directing internal and external resources to achieve business solutions within project guidelines. Respond to operational issues and RFIs within defined areas of responsibility while progressing on project work. Collaborate and communicate with other Project Managers and Leaders to coordinate cross-project initiatives and activities. Identify and eliminate obstacles to solution plans, business goals, or implementation. Assist in the development and implementation of contingency plans. Assist in the development of project budgets in compliance with the company's financial practices. The successful PM applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): A 4 year Degree 5 or more years of experience in project management PMP Certification Skill Set: Microsoft Project - required Must have demonstrated experience managing a complicated technical project Must have demonstrated knowledge of full life cycle development process, preferably ECMS or DMAIC Experience tracking the tasks and progress of major project; escalating and resolving issues; planning for and managing resources and funding Prior working knowledge of Clarity Nexus and Quality Center is preferred Minimum five years of experience working as a Technical Project Manager Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cross functional project teams Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent time management skills Must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision Must possess analytical and problem solving skills Please note this is NOT a Project Coordinator role. The successful candidate must have managed a project from start to finish and be able to speak to the steps involved.
