Our client, a solutions integration firm in New York, NY, is looking for a hands-on Lead Core Java Developer to join their team! This person will sit on site with the client and also lead an offshore team. The most important aspect of this role is the DESIGN PATTERNS. This person will be enhancing and performing new development for an existing system (post-trade application). This is also a very strong “hands on” coding position. Some of the key skills the client is looking for in a lead are: Excellent communication skills including confident delivery Keen technologist (aware of latest developments/improvements in Java-related technologies in order to take advantage of them) Ability to think on his/her feet and solve problems on the fly Solid core Java, and solid design skills Thorough understanding through firsthand experience of tools and frameworks (code review, code analysis, testing, spring, hibernate etc) Experience enhancing and developing post-trade applications
