Verigent , a nationwide Telecom and IT Staffing firm, has an opening in Reston, VA for an experienced Sr. Director of Business Development. This is a 4 month contract to hire opportunity. If selected, you will work as a Verigent employee on contract to our client. Job Description: • The candidate will help develop a long range strategic plan for the Civil Sector, and lead the execution of strategic and tactical business development activities • Will have complete account management responsibility and will participate as a senior team member in research and study of Federal practice and industry trends Job Responsibilities: • Responsible for identifying, qualifying and pursuing new business opportunities associated with our Civil Agencies customers • Identify opportunities in a variety of Information Technology, Network Operations, Systems Engineering & Integration, Software Engineering, and Information Assurance/Cyberspace domains Job Requirements: • Must have experience leading and conducting business development activities associated with identification, qualification, capture, teaming and bid support • Must have the process oriented/team player skills to successfully transition new business opportunities into full capture, bid and proposals that result in revenue producing wins to support corporate growth • Experience in business marketing/coordination and submission of responsive bids • Assessment of the budget, spending and procurements associated specifically with Information Technology efforts within the Civil Agencies market. • Ability to lead life cycle new business phase including opportunity identification, early market shaping, opportunity qualification, competitive assessment and participate as the voice of the customer in solution development and proposal activities • Supporting capture and proposal leadership to include win strategy development, competitive analysis and teaming assessments • Assisting in-house subject matter experts in building winning solutions that demonstrate thorough knowledge of culture and mission operations of Civil Agencies • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical discipline is required • A Masters Degree in Business Administration is highly desirable • A minimum of ten years of overall government contractor experience in business development related activities as stated above.
