This is an Application Support team position. Candidate must have JAVA, J2EE and SQL (DB2 and Oracle) development experience, with ability to trouble shoot production issues. This position will be part of the application support team for our large billing related systems. The ideal candidate would be strong in Java, DB2, Oracle, J2EE related technologies – Struts, JSP, Javascript, Jquery, Ajax, XML, JAXB, Web Services (creating and consuming), Hibernate and/or Spring jdbc, Spring, JMS/MDB/MQ, Junit and have excellent communication skills. As part of the application support team, this person will be helping with day time resolution of production issues of our large billing applications; As part of that they will be involved in independent trouble shooting of problems called in via help desk tickets, working with the SMEs to figure out root cause analysis and, reporting the resolution back to the end users. The day time support is rotational (once every 3 weeks) and, when not performing the day time support this person will also help with enhancements and/or break fix scenarios including development for small mandate projects if any. The day time support is on a rotational basis. This position will also be going oncall, when appropriate, on a rotational basis (once every 12-14 weeks approx.) as the rest of the team members. --Required Skills-- 1. Strong JAVA, SQL (DB2 and Oracle) development experience including the technologies mentioned below.
