*****MUST BE US CITIZEN***** Duties of the Data Analyst are as follows: Works directly with the Data Quality Manger, Resource Management Office Flight Commander, Group Practice Managers, Commanders, or others as required identifying analytical requirements. Gathers data from various sources, including but not limited to Consolidated Health Care System (CHCS), Military Health System Mart (M2) repository, and various websites including Biometric Data Quality Assurance Service (BDQAS), for compilation and analysis. Interprets results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation via statistical analysis to complex data mining. Creates graphic and slide presentations as required. Identifies data quality problems and assists in developing training plans. Participates in teleconferences, committees, functions and other meetings as directed. Provides relevant and timely information to these groups, and assists with decision making and process improvement. Participates in data quality initiatives designed to enhance services. Participates in the orientation and training for newly assigned personnel and annual training, as appropriate. Performs all other duties as assigned appropriate to the position Education, Experience, Training Requirements, and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities An associate’s degree in a related field and 2-4 years of experience or a bachelor’s degree in a related field is required. A minimum of one year of experience in data analysis required. Knowledge of medical terminology and administration is preferable. Knowledge of computer operations and proficiency in the use of Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required. Excellent written communication skills to create accurate documentation and presentations IAW requirements. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people. Ability to effectively use appropriate communication formats to address issues. Ability to synthesize data from a variety of sources and make an appropriate analysis.
