Our client is looking for a Network Test Engineer to Test Ethernet System. This candidate will be writing and working on Test cases for Client's Ethernet system. Will perform Scripting in Python Day to day job will be Cranking up automation test cases. It will be helpful knowing how to perform manual test cases on Ethernet test switches. 70% validation (product from a vendor) - 30% debugging (QC) REQUIRED SKILLS •Current CCNP or CCNA •Three years’ work experience with an Object Oriented programming language, as well as the ability to articulate the benefits of Object Oriented software •Three years’ work experience with Python •Detailed knowledge of at least one source code control tool such as Perforce or Subversion, as well as the ability to articulate the benefits of using it •Detailed knowledge of at least one programming unit test framework •Mastery of network protocol and tracing tools: Finisar , Wireshark, Ethereal, TCPdump •Minimum of 5 years’ experience with Ethernet and IP networking Hardware •Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer/Electrical Engineering REQUIRED ETHERNET SKILLS * Must have an extensive working knowledge of Ethernet network L2/L3 environments, including routing, switching, CLI configuration, performance, fault tolerance and high availability best practices. * Must exhibit a solid grasp of packet-level Ethernet, IP and TCP debugging steps and procedures; this includes the usage of Ethernet packet captures, and the ability to install and use Ethernet traffic generators and analyzers. * Test experience with modular switches for blade products is a plus. Job Description Responsible for developing, documenting and reviewing test plans and test cases for the client's Networking products. Must be skilled in configuring and troubleshooting network and test equipment in order to execute test cases in a development/test lab environment. Manage daily execution of test plans including guidance of technicians for the client, OEM, or third-party test facilities. Automate test cases as required to meet aggressive testing objectives. Must be able to develop test tools for use in Subsystem and Product Testing. Must be able to articulate the reasons for adhering to a standardized software architecture and consistent programming API. Must be comfortable with Unix or Linux text editors, as well as essential Unix shell commands. Must have at least five years of scripting or programming work experience. Must have an extensive working knowledge of Ethernet network L2/L3 environments, including routing, switching, CLI configuration, performance, fault tolerance and high availability best practices.
