Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in CS, MIS, EE, CE or other related fields Expert skills in Microsoft Windows, Team Foundation Server and SQL Server 2008 R2 with demonstrated knowledge of setup, performance and trouble shooting Strong background configuring, building and deploying database solutions utilizing Visual Studio, MS Build and professional installation tools and technologies to create application installation packages Minimum of 5 years of experience in platform configuration, software builds and repeatable deploys in a MS Windows development environment 3+ years of experience in SQL Server and T-SQL scripting with database administration, development and test automation experience using software to enable automation Excellent understanding of the TFS framework including labels/versioning, branch/merge and managing major and minor releases concurrently Familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Master Data Management (MDM) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be capable of documenting configuration and deploy solutions, along with ability to provide feedback and suggestions for process and product improvements Responsibilities: Coordinates and manages the build and deploy process in all environments Prepares and delivers automated database installation and upgrade scripts from Visual Studio. Specifies, configures, and maintains all relevant environments, running multiple versions of business intelligence applications in parallel. Develops and maintains reusable unit/integration testing tools in order to minimize defects delivered to QA Ensures the development team has all the tools necessary to develop and test the software Maintains and administers the SDLC & source control system (Team Foundation Server). Upgrades the work item workflows as required, create code branches, etc Takes responsibility for the quality of the builds delivered to QA, by ensuring that all required tests are executed and by checking the completeness of the installation packages Adheres to development standards, software development lifecycle processes and audit requirements Constantly seeks ways to improve our processes for increased agility and quality Ensures technical documentation is created (as part of all assignments) and maintained as the basis for future enhancement and knowledge sharing Preferences: Experience working in a Regulated Environment (Banking, Finance, etc.) Familiarity with Microsoft Solutions Framework Knowledge of Windows, networking and C# programming language
