831 Manufacturing Engineer Location: Suwanee, GA Length: 10 Months If interested, please send resumes to Jason@ccsiinc.com Description: This position will primarily provide manufacturing engineering support for plant operation. The major responsibility is leading the new facility projects for Project Renaissance through to completion. Need to ensure all the responsible processes meet the Hussmann and industrial standard, providing engineering expertise for management team. Design of assembly workstation layouts (Material Flow, Ergonomics, Process Waste Elimination, Machine Design) Assembly line layout. Design, fabrication and implementation of Assembly Fixtures/Tooling. Provide industrial engineering expertise for assembly processes, methods, manufacturing systems and technologies that will result in manufacturing systems that are capable and cost effective. Drive material/VAVE and L/OH productivity projects aimed at achieving plant goals. Be heavily involved in new product introductions and product transitions. Lead continuous improvement efforts in products/processes to support plant objectives of safety, cost, quality, and service. Analyze work content for all assembly stations and implement improvements to reduce cycle time. Implement standard work for all assembly processes to improve quality. Analyze tooling/fixtures and work methods, and implement improvements to address any safety and ergonomic concerns. Perform effective line balancing for all product lines to effectively manage volume fluctuations. Implement formal training/competency programs for all assembly stations with the ability to certify operators on multiple tasks. Maintain a high level of technical knowledge in advanced manufacturing technology in the areas of plant productivity and product manufacturability. Skills Set: Computer Skills (CAD Software, MS Project, Excel, Word, Power Point, Email, Access, etc.) Required Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years experience Bachelors degree in engineering Application of lean manufacturing tools Six sigma experience, Black or Green Belt preferred Operations Knowledge Project Management experience Keywords: Engineering Design
