General Position Summary: We are seeking an outstanding Sr SAP Developer with AFS experience to provide ingenious solutions, game-changing creativity, expert know-how and respectful mentoring. You must be skilled in SAP AFS Development techniques, but must also have a strong understanding of business processes and how they are supported with SAP solutions. Essential Functions/Responsibilities: Functions as SAP developer on short-duration enhancement projects and long-term implementation projects, sometimes simultaneously. Works with architects, functional owners and other IT shared services to design and develop systems that help meet new demands of a rapidly growing international business Collaborate extensively with business partners, contributing to a very flexible and agile process and product realization environment Address business opportunities through the best combination of SAP applications and other software production and development techniques Help project team with analyzing system development opportunities by gathering data, reviewing company operations, evaluating alternative methods and preparing time estimates according to project guidelines Provides mentorship and guidance to other development team members Has expert understanding of enterprise level SDLC practices Secondary Functions: Effectively interact with all IT staff members, including programming staff, data center operations, system users, business leaders and managers Demonstrate performance to maintain or surpass skill level requirements reflected in the role/skill matrix for this position Contribute and help evolve working standards, internal professional development, support communities and wiki sites in your area of expertise Perform other duties as assigned. Specific Job Skills: Advanced-level knowledge in one or more of the following SAP areas: SAP ABAP, Data Dictionary, IDOC message processing, and ABAP Object programming. Microsoft BizTalk. SAP ERP modules: SD, MM, FI, CO, PP SAP AFS/IS- Required Knowledge of object relational mapping, web services, SOAP interfaces, enterprise service repositories. In depth knowledge of applications development, including systems analysis and design techniques, problem determination, project control, contract/vendor administration and structured system development methodologies. Familiar with Waterfall and Agile application development methodologies. Ability to communicate highly technical information in an understandable manner to non-technical audiences through writing and presentations. Strong analytical skills; ability to perform complex systems analysis and draw conclusions by relating information from different sources, including root-cause analysis and issue resolution. Superior verbal, written and presentation skills required. Highly self-motivated, driven work ethic and directed, keen attention to detail and exceptional customer service orientation. Education: BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or related field, or the equivalent work experience. Experience: 8+ years of information technology experience; at least 5 years within the SAP application space. SAP implementation experience in realization, go-live and/or post-go-live support.
