Detailed knowledge of CMS compliance requirements is a plus This role responsible for providing a reliable and maintainable competency of expertise in leading business teams in support of legislative, regulatory and environmental monitoring and business position development(strategic and tactical), communication, and implementation. This role is required to support the efforts of business leads, cross-functional teams and other interdepartmental efforts. Additionally, the purpose of this role is to influence and advocate positions and lead discussions at the federal and state levels, based on the coordinated efforts of researching, collecting, reporting, and analyzing information related to business, policy, and regulatory activity. - Analyzes state and federal legislative and regulatory activities to develop related business position documents and strategies for implementing key reforms. Ensures compliance with specifications, requirements and practices through project development, communication, and implementation. Analyzes business impacts and develops current and future business, financial and operational strategies to include long-term viability. - Supports relationships with and interacts with trade associations - Provides subject matter expertise, leadership, guidance, and mentoring to project teams. Conducts reviews of and evaluates assigned projects to ensure proper and effective program implementation and execution. Maintains interfaces with project teams, business leads, and other interdepartmental efforts to ensure coordination. Produces periodic reports identifying performance and issues related to project efforts - Maintains and communicates a broad awareness of all state/federal legislative, regulatory and environmental developments that may impact operations. Job Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Business, Public Health, Political Science, Law, Paralegal, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal and written communication skills. 0-4 years of work experience in a regulatory or legislative analysis-type role. Experience interfacing with trade associations. Knowledge of the health insurance industry Preferred: Experience interfacing with senior leadership. Masters Degree in relevant field.
