I would like to create a series of apps or interactive games to go with a children's book. Please see the attached PDFs for a sense of what the book is about and what the characters look like. Some of the items that would be replicated for games and interactive activities are: scarab [a character--kind of --who follows the children [see art sample attached]; the golden reptile necklace that they wear and carry back to Timbuktu [see on overview page]; old style compass--needle on a string; old map; artifacts from Africa & China; animals: hippo, camels; musical instruments: banjo-type, tambourine-type, bongo-like drum. Possible game ideas. . . Game 1: Matching: players match items in the trunk to jobs. For example, goggles in the trunk are matched with Scuba-Maya, and the fire hat is matched with Fire-Maya. Game 2: Head, Body, Shoes: players swipe through photo album slideshows displaying a variety of heads, bodies, and shoes, matching and mismatching different professional outfits Game 3: Spot the difference with fish: players will look at similar pictures of underwater sea life and spot subtle differences between the Game 4: Which one doesn't belong?: players choose which emergency equipment doesn't belong. For example, a hose, a fire hat, an ax, and a cotton swab. Game 5: Which animal doesn't belong?: players match animals to others like them. For example, a dog, cat, horse, and fish pictures.
