Endicia (USPS) shipping integration with Ruby - Ruby on Rails API
We have a Ruby application in place that we'd like to integrate directly with Endicia's Label server so that we can print labels directly from the browser window without opening the external application, and also have the tracking data posted back and automatically updated in the application. Must have previous experience with Endicia's Label Server or shipping integration of this type. Features will include: 1 - label printing - Labels need to be able to print to a 4x6 thermal label printer rather than regular paper. We would also like to save a PDF copy of each label as printed to Dropbox so that every label is backed up. 2 - Adding funds to account - There must be a user interface to add funds to our postage account so that we can purchase postage 3 - Refund postage - there must be a user interface to refund past printed labels 4 - reporting - we must be able to see a history of all transactions, including labels printed, postage purchased and refunds processed 5 - When a label is printed, the following data is posted back to the system: a: tracking number (updated with link to USPS tracking site so that customer can see - here's the link: /go/TrackConfirmAction_inp... where X= the tracking number) b: date/time shipped (customer can view) c: actual postage cost (customer does not see - reported to admin only). I believe there is already be a field for this built into the system. Desired Skills: Ruby on Rails API Keywords: Web Programming, API, Ruby, Rail
