Frontend Web Developer
Position Description: The Front-end Developer serves as a development resource assisting with The Princeton Review’s consumer website, www.princetonreview.com . This individual will contribute substantially in the areas of UI/UX design, technical web development, tactical idea generation, testing, and website analysis. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Serve as front-end developer and technical consultant for www.princetonreview.com and assist in executing TPR ’ s strategic and long range website goals 2. Assist in the development, and execution of website release process (i.e., development, quality assurance and deployment) 3. Assist in prioritizing requirements gathering and deployment of website functionality upgrades on behalf of various internal stakeholder groups 4. Assist in creating and enforcing website style guide conforming to TPR's brand standards 5. Assist in isolating useful KPI web metrics initiatives and leverage analytical tools to optimize conversion funnels, lead tracking, and customer acquisition. 6. Assist with training and documentation initiatives for website, Google Analytics, and Ektron CMS. 7. Creating HTML/CSS for web pages and templates use in production. Bachelor degree or equivalent experience required 2. 5+ years of web development experience implementing production ready solutions with aggressive timelines 3. Ability to code and format HTML pages and layouts using only a standard text editor 4. Experience and knowledge of JavaScript and HTML 5 technologies and frameworks, AJAX, JSON, and web-based multimedia methodologies 5. Familiarity with content management systems (Silverstripe, Drupal, preferably Ektron) and e-commerce engines and methods 6. Hands on development with HTML, CSS, ASP.NET , VBScript. 7. Experience performing extensive cross-browser/cross-platform unit testing of websites 8. Detail-oriented with strong attention to follow-through required 9. Comfortable with Microsoft Office & Developer Suite 10. Excellent analytical skills (web analytics or statistical analysis a plus – especially using Google Analytics or similar web metric tool) 11. Assist with website design and its overall usability experience 12. Ability to work in a project based environment and within a collaborative team environment 13. Experience using backend languages like PHP, C#, Razorscript, a big plus 14. Experience with mobile testing, development, and cross-development solutions like Titanium Appcelerator also a plus
