Business/Systems Analyst
Job Description: This position is responsible for managing item/location system inventory targets and support statistical inventory targets usage and improvements in support of Product Supply Chain Strategies and the integration of these strategies. This position will manage and ensure integrity of Analytical/Operational data flows and system inputs (eg, lead time, cycle time, service level, forecast error). Key areas of focus: Support the business unit teams through development of scenarios and analysis of inventory optimization tool; Deliver insights by providing interpretation and application of statistical results; Support business unit teams through analysis in delivering increased efficiencies and effectiveness across the supply chain. Opportunities will exist to present statistical results and conclusions to BU management. Effectiveness in this position will require consideration of industry knowledge trends, capabilities, emerging efficiencies, and individual business situations. This position will need to possess strong statistical analysis and interpersonal skills, business knowledge and be capable of effective relationships and negotiations between teams. Be prepared to defend their assumptions and theories when challenged. Primary Responsibilities: 1. Manage item/location system inventory targets and support statistical inventory targets usage and improvements to deliver case fill rate and inventory targets. 2. Support and deliver insights to the business unit teams on the trade-offs between case fill and inventory through development of scenarios, statistical analysis and analysis of inventory optimization tool. 3. Develop and deliver standard operational reports and dashboards to agreed timelines. 4. Manage and ensure integrity of Analytical and Operational data flows and system inputs. 5. Undertake appropriate data analysis to support supply chain projects. Experience & Education Required: 1. Experience in applying statistical analysis and modelling to operational data. 2 years. 2. Experience in Inventory Theory and Application, demonstrates a strong understanding. 1-2 years. 3. Ability to retrieve, apply, analyze, structure and interpret data. 2 years. 4. Knowledge of Statistical packages/inventory optimization tools. 1 year. 5. Project Management skills. 1 year. 6. Bachelor's Degree (4 year.). SKILLS NA Synectics is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
