Category Manager - Transport & Logistics - Based in Italy
A leading European Procurement Consultancy has an urgent requirement for a Transport & Logistics Category Manager in Italy. You will be working within one of Europe's biggest companies with multiple sites across both mainland Europe and the UK. You will be tasked with managing a number of strategic projects across the Transport and Logistics Category for the European procurement team. Other duties will include: Developing Category strategy Stakeholder Management Strategic Sourcing of goods and services with the logistics / transport category Interfacing with Business Unit operators to fulfil their Category need Working with European scope to develop the business and implement saving plans. The Candidate You will be a strong Category Manager with great experience of the transport and logistics category. You will need contract management experience, the ability to manage stakeholder expectations, good negotiation skills and the ability to work in a cross functional multi level team. A CIPS qualification or similar would also stand you in good stead. Due to the nature of the location this role requires someone who speaks fluent Italian and good English. The Client A leading procurement consultancy who work on behalf of their clients to ensure procurement best practice and spend management consultancy. The package An interim day rate of £400 - £450 is on offer and the contract will take place over 2 years. You will need to relocate to Italy at your own expense if not already in country.
