The groups are piloting a new set of services for Web Developers to provide access to new hardware features of client platforms. This project offers the opportunity to build and deploy web services using Ruby on Rails, access client hardware capabilities using HTML5 and native browser plugins, and connect the two into a service broadly available to Web Developers. Responsibilities will include: Writing and deploying web applications Writing browser plug-ins Setting up server QUALIFICATIONS: Must have experience building and deploying web services using Ruby on Rails Must have experience with JavaScript and accessing web services, including cross-domain services Nice to Have: Must have C/C++ programming knowledge Experience writing native Ruby Gems Experience writing native browser plugins This is a contract position of approximately 6 months but could be extended Location: Hillsboro, OR Start date: ASAP Length of contract: 26 weeks ++ Hours: 40 hours (standard hours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM) Overtime is not permitted unless pre-approved Travel: None Telecommute: No Candidates must be US Citizens or have active green card to apply.
