Temporary Part-Time Grant Writer
Otis College of Art and Design Temporary Part-Time Grant Writer Institutional Advancement The Temporary Part-Time Grant Writer’s primary responsibility is to research, write, and follow up on grant applications, proposals, and letters of inquiry for the Institutional Advancement Division. This position reports to the Assistant Vice President of Institutional Advancement and works closely with the Director of Foundation Relations. This is a non-exempt, part-time position with 15-18 weekly working hours. Temporary assignment to start immediately through December 30th, 2012. Responsibilities: • Researches grant and sponsorship opportunities and review funder guidelines. • Drafts and finalizes foundation, corporate, government proposals, reports, and individual letters as needed. • Prepares grant applications, reports and supplemental information for submittal. • Performs other writing duties as assigned. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years successful grant writing experience is required. Experience with comprehensive campaign preferred. Experience in proposal writing for higher education and/or art and culture required. Excellent writing, oral and communication; proofreading and editing skills. Familiarity with major local, regional and national funders. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel required.
