Programme Director
I am currently supporting a telecoms software vendor, who have a broad portfolio of products across BSS, Billing, Mediation, Rating and VAS. They are currently looking for a French Speaking Programme Director who can be based from the UK, but travel extensively to North Africa and othersites around EMEA and run a large BSS transformation Program in North Africa. Responsibilities: - Responsible for managing stakeholders, with direct client responsibility - Planning and designing the programme and proactively monitoring its overall progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate - Ensuring that the delivery of new products or services from the projects is to the appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the programme plan and programme governance arrangements - Reporting progress of the programme at regular intervals to the regional Vice President - Identify, prioritise and drive optimization, best practice sharing and standardisation initiatives for program delivery - Managing both the dependencies and the interfaces between projects - Managing mitigation of risks to the programme's successful outcome - Provides input on team performance and reward - Requires significant independent judgment to determine the most effective course of action at any given stage in the project Skills and Experience: - A track record of delivering large BSS transformation programs (CRM, Billing, ERP, etc) from inception, ideally in the Telecoms industry. - Must be fluent in French and English. Arabic an advantage. - Expert level understanding and anticipation of the client's needs and an in-depth understanding of client facing software delivery life cycle (SDLC) management at program level - Experience in managing program budgets and delivering services revenue and margin - Experienced in working with Systems Integrators and multiple vendors essential - Sophisticated communication skills to influence and gain cooperation with customers and team members. - Requires highly developed team leadership skills with ability to lead large groups - More than ten years project/program management experience in managing large implementation/software development projects, within a professional services or consulting environment - Project Management accreditation and skills required; - Telecommunication experience an advantage Deliverables: - Deliver the identified major technology program within budget and time requirements. - Accountability for client stakeholders, project schedules, quality requirements, resource allocation, risk, requirements & change - Manage client engagement and relationships while providing overall leadership to project teams Personal Attributes: - Expectation and willingness to travel frequently throughout the EMEA region – ability to base at customer sites with the EMEA region for extensive periods. - Confident communicator with ability to command respect - Demonstrate initiative, drive and proactive attitude; - Exceptional ability to encourage and influence others; - Strong sense of ownership and responsibility; - Conscientiousness and attention to detail
