Job Description The Oracle Developer / Application DBA will provide production support for Muni’s Oracle Databases with an emphasis on DB performance tuning, problem solving and monitoring. This position works in a fast - paced large scale 24x7 environment and will work with multiple support. Day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Provide production support for high profile Oracle databases. - Monitor and address database capacity, and performance issues. - Fully analyze performance issues in most critical Oracle databases. - Work with development team in build out of application code - Knowledge of PL/SQL code is a must and suggest improvement for optimal performance - Identify tuning opportunities, implement improvements and advise developers on SQL tuning options. - Interact with Infrastructure team to disseminate process and configuration improvements. - Interact with application developers and management as well as database and database tool vendors Job Skills - 5 - 7 years Oracle developer / Application DBA experience supporting 24x7 production environments; preferably supporting critical databases in finance industry. - Oracle 11gR2 ASM RAC expert with knowledge of installation/configuration, best practices, support and troubleshooting. - Well versed with Oracle upgrades and familiar with Oracle 11gR2 features. - Extensive Database performance tuning and troubleshooting skills. - Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with clients and ability to work on multiple projects. - Ability to provide production support/coverage. 2392 Please see our complete list of jobs at: www.rmscorp.com
