Microsoft Exchange Administrator
Hi, We have a new requirement for MS Exchange Administrator at Landover, MD, Please go through and let me know your interest. Microsoft Exchange Administrator Location: Landover, MD Start Date: ASAP (one year plus 2 option years) Three to five years experience working with Microsoft Exchange 2007/10 with customer focus and a keen interest in resolving issues with a priority. Develop and maintain SOP documentation of Engineering procedures and providing daily support to 4500+ Exchange 2007 and Outlook 2003/7/10 users. Work with 3rd party vendors to troubleshoot problems and provide assistance in keeping the Email environment optimal. Consult with team members, other organizations, customers, and vendors on complex issues. Proactively and reactively look for solutions to prevent complex problems from occurring across teams/technologies. Flexibility in work times and hours will be required. Improve operations and processes by monitoring, troubleshooting and improving area-of-control operational processes to ensure optimum performance and practice consistency. Knowledge and Skills Required: At least 3 years of proven, hands on experience with administration of Exchange 2003/Exchange 2007 in medium to large environments (more than 1000 users) Close familiarity with Exchange 2007 operations, end user support, architecture and functionality. Detailed knowledge of Outlook 2003/2007/2010 - server connectivity, calendaring, archiving, performance tuning etc. Closely familiar with creating of users, distribution lists, mailbox administration and management, mailbox permissions Operational knowledge of secure mail communications - TLS, mail encryption and certificates. Knowledge of messaging security and protection - Brightmail and ForeFront, antivirus and spam filtering. Proficient in troubleshooting SMTP communications on all levels. Closely familiar with Exchange disaster recovery and continuous operations - backup, restore, VSS. Working Knowledge of Windows Server 2003/2008, AD, DNS and networking. Operational Excellence : Excellent phone and customer skills, capable of working under strict deadlines within team environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills and capable of working without supervision and handling complex tasks in timely and responsible manner Incident Management: Resolve technical and business incidents independently. Escalation Management: identify, mange, and lead escalations through Tier 2 and 3. Work with others to help manage escalations through Tier 4. Problem Management: Proactively and reactively look for solutions to prevent complex problems from occurring across teams/technologies. Change Management: Develops methods for supporting innovation and change across the IT Hardware \ Software SDLC & Deployment. Ensure Configuration Management Database (CMDB) entries are complete and accurate. Customer Relationship Management : Influence with customers, internal groups, and OCC end users on a broad range of technical and operational topics. Becoming a trusted advisor and develop and grow assigned customers and end users account relationships. Teamwork: Lead or work as part of a team, which may be virtual, global, and/or multifunctional, and addressing complex issues. Trusted advisor inside technology area and recognized outside team/technology area. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent work experience. May have Master's degree in related field. Often holds intermediate-level certification(s) in work field. Typically 8+ years of relevant experience MS certification is highly desirable but could be substituted with experience.
