The Embedded Test Engineer is a contract to hire role. The qualified person must have experience with both embedded microprocessor hardware and software and an educational background supportive of the job qualifications and responsibilities. Experience with analog and RF circuitry is desirable. Job Qualifications & Responsibilities This person will be working closely with Manufacturing and Engineering to determine test strategies, write test specifications, perform ,'Process FMEA,'(tm) analysis, assist in the design and release process of test fixtures. The successful candidate will have met the following requirements: • Minimum of 5 yrs experience in production automated test development or equivalent. • Work with hardware and software product engineers to develop embedded C test software for use in test equipment and on the target system. • Work with Hardware Engineering to develop and transfer new-product test equipment from Engineering into Manufacturing. • Experience with RTOS IDE, problem management systems and good software development practices. • Demonstrate effective communication and coordination skills with outside vendors and internal customers. • Test automation experience. • Good written and oral communication skills are essential. The following are not required but highly desirable: • Experience with ATE systems and knowledge of their capabilities • Experience with GenRad test systems is a plus • RF test and measurement experience is highly desirable. • Prior experience in FDA regulated industries is a definite plus. • Some experience with Lab View and test instrumentation.
