Development & Communications Officer (Marketing role)
Our client is an award winning organisation that employs approximately 1200 staff providing affordable housing to around 18,000 households and specialist care and support to individuals across the South East. Due to expansion, a new Marketing and Business Development role has been created based in Windsor. As a results-driven, highly-focussed, Marketing and Business Development professional, you will be tasked with creating and managing customer acquisition campaigns, using your ability to interpret complex data, and applying your findings to generate new leads and meet commercial targets. The successful candidate for this new Marketing and Business Development role will have excellent organisational, project management and analytical skills, alongside a minimum of two years’ experience in ‘hard marketing’ - creating and managing customer acquisition campaigns and lead generation. This is initially a 12 month contract, with the role’s continuance beyond this period depending upon your success in attracting new business. Your duties in this new Marketing and Business Development role will include: • Sourcing and reviewing available demographic data to determine areas to be targeted for growth. • Lead generation - planning, developing and running agreed campaigns to acquire new customers. • Supporting customer acquisition and retention by: • supporting and attending events • developing materials such as web pages, e-marketing, brochures, leaflets and other marketing collateral • Managing relationships with third party agencies. The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualities: • Minimum of two years hard marketing experience in creating and managing customer acquisition campaigns. • Strong commercial awareness, self-targeting, highly focussed and results orientated. • Experience of using statistical data to better target potential customers. • An excellent knowledge of e-communications, the web and social media with a strong understanding of the media and communications. • Excellent organisational, project management and analytical skills. • Experience of care and support / charity / not for profit sectors and related activities, e.g. support of people with disabilities, older people, etc. is desirable but not essential. Salary and Reward Package: • Salary circa £25,000 depending on skills and experience. • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. • Pension scheme. • Flexi-time.
