Use Software Standard, Master Test Strategy and Master Test Plan template and other tools to create complete and useable documentation in accordance with corporate standards. 1. Responsible for developing and executing formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. 2. Involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, test case automation and test execution. 3. Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status. 4. Collects and analyzes data for software process evaluation and improvements, and integrates them into business processes to address the needs of the business. 5. Documents all problems and assists in their resolution. 6. Delivers quality process training to technical staff and acts as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partners. 7. Performs quality audits across the various IT functions to ensure quality standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed. 8. Understanding of the business requirements for assigned projects by going through requirements document, Functional Specifications, Technical Specifications. 9. Initiate discussions with PM, business analysts gathering requirements & development team to understand the requirements. 10. Ensure baseline documents are available on time. 11. Review test case prepared by the testers & co-ordinate with SME for further review & coverage. 12. Learn the tools used for testing and support test execution and defect management. 13. Analyze the defect raised against the requirements, upload them in HP QC and participate in defect meetings. 14. Analyze Functional the requirements, Select test cases, which is suitable for Function Automation using HP Product QTP. 15. Support the business users during UAT and managing issues during implementation. 16. Provide inputs for preparing the Test Summary Report. Qualifications: Typically requires 5 or more years of experience with Quality Assurance and QA tools and best practices. Need proficiency in written and spoken English and must have BA/BS degree or equivalent.
