My client, a well known organisation throughout the UK, are currently looking for a Systems Engineer to join them for a 6 month contract. The successful candidate will have experience of working in large scale Web environments and as well as possessing strong system engineering skills, they will be confident in doing development work as well, particularly with PHP/WordPress. Key skills required are; - Managing Linux servers - RHEL, CentOS - Cloud platforms, VMWare and Shell scripting - Developing, troubleshooting and fine tuning web applications running on Apache, Perl, PHP and Wordpress - Database experience with MSSQL and MySQL - Supporting and troubleshooting web applications based on Java Enterprise Suite, Spring, Hibernate and ActiveMQ - Supporting and troubleshooting web applications running on Apache, Tomcat and ideally Mule ESB Good communication skills and an ability to work in a team are also required.
