Our client is looking for a Senior SQL Server Developer. This position will be an integral member of the Data Services team, participating in the building of systems to process and reconcile payments. Individuals who have experience in systems analysis for high-volume financial transaction systems are of particular interest. The Senior SQL Server Developer will perform in depth analysis of existing programs and reports (including ETL packages, relational layer access code and objects, and data warehouse reports and OLAP cubes). She/he will work closely with the Data Services Team to develop and implement SQL Server database objects, SSAS cubes, SSIS packages, and possibly a Cognos presentation layer. This role will work closely with other organizations at the client, including Finance, Business Intelligence, Data Interactive Entertainment, and other organizations, as well as information consumers throughout the client's organization. Documentation of solutions and knowledge transfer are key facets of this job. This is a hands-on technical role. A firm grasp of financial system concepts, and proven technical ability in programming and understanding of data processing and database architecture is critical. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required as the candidate will work very closely with a diverse team. The candidate will have an influential role; will be expected to create, articulate and implement ideas; and be responsible for timely processing and deliverables. Ability to create and manage work plans, timelines and accommodate multiple priorities is required. RESPONSIBILITIES: Applies broad knowledge of technology options, technology platforms, design techniques and approaches to design and build an integrated, quality financial systems solution to address business requirements. Performs in depth systems analysis on existing reports, programming code, and ETL packages. Has experience with relational and data warehouse structures both OLAP and dimensional. Provides input and recommendations on technical issues to the financial systems architect. Participates in collaborating with business users on requirements, objectives and measures. Documents technical design and implementation as well as any operation support plans. Participates in testing of the data design, tool design, data extracts/transforms, etc. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 8+ years experience with and detailed knowledge of billing system technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures. Solid knowledge of C# or equivalent programming language. Strong systems analysis skills and expertise preferably in a senior technical role. Strong SQL skills, preferably in a Microsoft SQL Server Environment. Experience working with financial or accounting systems by maintaining existing code base, extending application functionality, and supporting applications. Ability to work multiple projects involving cross domain business groups throughout the organization. Flexible, able to shift direction with the demands of the business and juggle competing priorities. Ability to document technical designs and implementation. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Bachelors Degree in (MIS) or equivalent work experience.
