Tutor needed for training in digital video encoding and theory. Must have a background in digital video engineering, file analysis and encoding. Deep understanding of QuickTime architecture, video codecs, digitization of analog video and transcoding is required. Training is needed in the following tools: Atom Inspector Dumpster FFMPEG MJPEG Tools Hexfiend Mediainfo CLI DV Analyzer Student has extensive experience with NLEs (Final Cut Pro, Avid, Adobe Premiere), video post-production workflows, post-production tools (Apple Compressor, Adobe Media Encoder, etc.), as well as a solid grounding in analog video theory and conceptual understanding of digital video, but no specific experience with analysis, file architecture or coding. Conversational fluency in English is required. EECS degree and professional experience is preferred. Patience and a interest in teaching usable skills is a must.
