Essential Duties and Responsibilities: •Manages all technical aspects of the solutions including data warehouse architecture, data modeling, ETL methodologies, BI metadata layer, Metadata Repository, Business Analytics, development and testing •Works closely with the Global Applications Director to ensure all BI projects and initiatives are aligned with the business demand •Provides input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams •Works collaboratively as part of the larger Strategic Programs team on strategies, initiatives and standards, and cross-team resource allocations •Interacts regularly across departments with managers and project leads to ensure good communication and quality delivery •Works with the product management teams to identify new areas of extending the product creating new business opportunities •Stays current on industry practices and issues, assessing and communicating their potential impact on the business •Assists in the creation and maintenance of reference materials for the data warehouse architecture, metadata, support and training •Mentors staff by providing procedural and technical guidance and advice •Generates and distributes reports pertaining to assigned responsibilities •Regularly evaluates processes and make recommendations to improve efficiency •Complies with all corporate and departmental policies/procedures and applicable governmental regulations •Attends and participates in meetings that pertain to assigned responsibilities •Develops & tests software changes outside normal business hours as and when required •Other duties and responsibilities as assigned, which may include cross-utilization within the department or with other departments Work Experience: •10+ years of IT experience. •5+ years of solid experience leading and developing Business Intelligence (BI) solutions •3+ years of IT management experience leading BI teams •Experience with complex data warehouse, data mart and cube architectures and methodologies •Experience in data analysis and design, master data management, database administration, data security management, data warehousing, business intelligence and data quality is required •Experience with Business Intelligence Maturity Models is a plus Job Skills: •Solid experience using a BI tool such as Business Objects or Oracle OBIEE •Solid experience using ETL tools such as Informatica or DataStage. Experience with Informatica is required. •Ability to architect, design and develop data warehouses, star schemas, datamarts, OLAP cubes, reports and dashboards •Ability to tune queries, dashboards and reports to make them run more efficiently •Experience with development & testing methodologies •Experience with SLA’s and performance statistics •MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word skills •Meeting facilitation and leadership skills •High confidence level and ability to remain calm and focused to enable teams to come to agreement on next steps •Ability to lead diverse teams with strong personalities or management styles •Experience working with executives and director level management and speaking in business terms around impacts, progress, and next steps •High aptitude for learning an understanding by “reading the situation” to identify next steps •Critical thinking skills to resolve problems and present solutions Education: •Bachelors or Masters Degree Pl.
