Commercial/Competitor Analysis Assistant � 10 months FTC up to �22,000 Our client is looking for an experienced candidate to join their property team to research and produce reports on the viability of new acquisitions. This will include a range of duties including regular reviews of the demographics, regular reports to the Board on competitor activity and market changes as well as partnership tender submissions.The role requires a very strong level of commercial knowledge and general business awareness to enable the post holder to work comfortably on any project with any level of management. Accountabilities / Responsibilities. � Maintenance of databases and files for major and regional competitors including obtaining new and updated information from the internet and all other possible sources � To manage and co-ordinate the competitor review timetable and to prepare regular reports on competitors for the Development Forum � To research and prepare the �market review� document for the Development Forum (issued three times a year) � To keep the team informed of any news alerts for major ompetitors and industry � To regularly review the planning database to alert the team to any additions / movements that might impact of proposed projects or target sites � To prepare the relevant extracts for the reports for various boards. � Extraction of market assessment reports from databases and use of mapping software to assist in the appraisals of new sites, acquisitions and extensions � To carry out market review of opportunities including mystery call and mystery shops to competitors � Responsible for liaising with the marketing team the timescales of offers and board reports to ensure marketing input received on a timely basis � Support the Acquisition Team as necessary Qualifications / Experience � Educated to degree standard � essential � Strong communication skills and excellent report writing capabilities. � Research and competitor analysis experience � desirable � The role holder will be a PC literate (knowledge of Word, Excel, Project, Powerpoint and Outlook). � The role requires self motivation and excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a number of projects, which may have conflicting timescales and require reprioritising. � Ability to maintain a cheerful outlook under pressure, willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
