Sr. Business Analyst / Project Manager
SGA is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst with Project Management experience to complete a contract for one of thier premier research industry clients in Research Triangle Park, NC. The business analyst gathers and analyzes business requirements from internal customers, evaluates solution options, and develops recommendations. The business analyst also creates project quality management plans, develops test plans and test scripts, reviews test results, prepares training plans and conducts internal customer training on implemented solutions. Work Performed: * Gather, analyze and document business requirements from stakeholders * Develop Quality Assurance user acceptance test plans to validate the installed configuration and operation against detailed technical specifications, and review test results * Plan for system cutover including system migration, ITS and end user staff training, operational support planning, and other tasks and activities required to move an application system from the test environment into the production environment for go live * Train ITS and end user staff in conjunction with other ITS staff as needed * Work projects through to completion while keeping project team members, stakeholders, vendors and ITS management informed of issues and overall status Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * In-depth knowledge of or skills in developing and maintaining relationships with vendors and applying a vendor product or service to a business problem * In-depth knowledge of or skills in QA and developing User Acceptance Test Plans * In-depth knowledge of or skills in participating in planning, design, or implementation activities under the direction of project managers while completing tasks in the prescribed time and reporting status or issues to project managers * In-depth knowledge of or skills in preparing system test plans that describe test cases, test data, pass-fail criteria for go-live, expected results, and how testing will be performed * In-depth knowledge of or skills in training users per training plan * Applied knowledge of or skills in creating a training plan showing training approach, curriculum, users and/or or other technical staff to be trained, schedule, and training materials Requirements: * Typically, 5-10 years IT BA work experience * 3-5 years project management experience * 8 - 11 years in a corporate IT environment * Prior experience with the deployment of enterprise wide applications preferred. * Experience working on an Enterprise Content Management System (ECM) preferred. * Experience managing vendors preferred. * Experience managing COTS projects, upgrades, RFPs, and developing custom software solutions. * Must be very hands-on with running projects. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Experience with MS Project, MS-Office * Experience working in software development environment with line of business applications. * Bachelors degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience.
