Our major pharmaceutical client is looking for Engineer PE Upstream in West Greenwich, RI. Job description:   ·         Support scale-up and technology transfer of upstream cell culture and harvest processes for recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies production to a commercial manufacturing facility. ·         Provide technical support for operations involving commercial scale bioreactors, centrifuges, and clarification filters and media make-up systems. ·         Perform studies to support new process implementation by authoring test plans, collecting experimental data and performing simple engineering calculations. ·         Extract data using information systems such as PI process book and performing statistical analysis. Basic Qualifications:   ·         BS in Biochemical or Chemical Engineering or in a relevant technological field from an accredited institution ·         Two years of hands-on experience in commercial scale development or commercial upstream process support in a cGMP biopharmaceutical environment ·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills   Preferred Qualifications:   ·          Advanced degree in Biochemical or Chemical Engineering or in a relevant technological field and/or additional years of experience in biopharmaceutical process development or commercial scale mammalian cell culture systems and harvest process technical support ·          Experience operating pilot and large-scale fully automated bioreactors, centrifuges, clarification filtration systems, and media make-up systems ·          Ability to compile and analyze statistical data, draw conclusions and make presentations to cross-functional audience.
