The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will be an integral part of a diverse team of QA Analysts. The selected applicant will apply their expertise to ensure the delivery of high quality products by testing new and ongoing initiatives of our Beaverton, Oregon client. The SQA resource will need to be knowledgeable of all aspects of the SQA life cycle beginning with the requirements phase through test case / plan creation, execution, and reporting. Functions Include: Perform analysis of requirements documents to derive test cases and test plans Execute test cases / procedures and accurately and concisely report progress and defect status including gathering and reporting on project quality metrics Track defects through the entire defect life cycle Perform Quality Reviews on Software Specification Documents and provide meaningful feedback to Business Analysts Pro-actively work with Development and Support staff in problem analysis, reproduction, and resolution Troubleshoot and find root cause of issues found during testing using technical knowledge Perform application / SQL deployments The successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): Minimum 7 years of experience testing Web-based technologies (HTML, .NET, ASP.NET, and XML) and desktop applications Experience testing Web Services and SOA technologies is desirable, preferably with WebSphere Advanced experience with Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL) or similar technology Strong analytical / problem solving skills Experience in using configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, debugging tools, and testing tools In-depth knowledge of Test Planning, Test Case Specification, and Test Procedure Development Must be a good Team Player with a positive attitude towards work as well working independently Flexibility to work over-time when needed Good verbal and written Communication skills Experience testing ETL projects is a plus Experience testing Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) environments Experience with any ETL tools
