Kforce is seeking a Programmer Analyst for a Madison, Wisconsin client. Functions Include: Plan, develop, test, and document computer programs; applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems Evaluate user requests for new or modified programs, such as for financial or human resource management systems, clinical research trial results, statistical study of traffic patterns; or analyzing and developing specifications for bridge design, to determine feasibility, cost and time required, compatibility with current system, and computer capabilities Consult with user to identify current operating procedures and clarify program objectives Formulate plan outlining steps required to develop program, using methodologies such as structured analysis and design or Object-Oriented Development (OOD) Capture requirements using industry standard development frameworks and tools Design reports, forms, and letters along with computer terminal screen displays to accomplish goals of user request Review screens, reports, forms, and letters designs with users Converts project specifications; using industry standard tools such as Object-Oriented tools and code generation into a sequence of detailed instructions and logical steps for coding into language processable by computers, and applying knowledge of computers' programming techniques and computer languages Enter program codes into the computer system Enter commands into computers to run and test programs Read computer printouts or observe display screen to detect syntax or logic errors during program test or uses diagnostic software to detect errors Replace, delete, or modify codes to correct errors Analyze, review, and alter programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements Write documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections Write manual for users to describe installation and operating procedures The successful applicant will possess the following requirements (items are required unless noted otherwise): Administration - Customer Service Problem resolution (development and implementation) 3+ years of experience Administration - Quality Assurance Software development life cycle activities / deliverables knowledge Information Technology - Databases to include SQL with Oracle 8i or higher f 1+ years Information Technology - Languages / Tools to include 3+ years of Java and Java RAD 7.0 and PL / SQL 1+ years of working with WebSphere; Requirements Analysis and Design of Applications Information Technology - System Monitoring / Automation Java Script and HTML Information Technology - Testing of 3 years Regression testing of 1+ years
