Psychologist - Contract NORTH LOS ANGELES COUNTY REGIONAL CENTER (NLACRC) is a private, non-profit social service agency with offices in the San Fernando, Santa Clarita, and Antelope Valleys. NLACRC supports persons of all ages with developmental disabilities - autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, mental retardation - for more than 35 years. Our focus is on understanding and meeting our client's needs, while helping them, make independent choices. We have immediate opportunities for Contract Psychologists in the San Fernando and Antelope Valleys.  This is an excellent contract opportunity for an experienced Psychologist who has the creative problem-solving skills to provide collaborative assistance to individuals who have developmental disabilities and to their families. Job Description : You will provide psychological assessment or evaluation services to applicants or agency clients. Receive general supervision from Clinical Services. Requires knowledge of developmental disabilities mental illness assessment of all ages treatment options laws, ethical standards, and regulations pertaining to service delivery and the practice of psychology. Skills include all aspects of psychological testing, effective communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure and assume responsibility for complex tasks and ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultures.  Education and Experience : Requires A Ph.D. or Psy.D. in psychology from an APA-accredited program and licensure by the California Board of Psychology, plus a minimum of 1 year of professional experience providing testing, diagnostic evaluation, service recommendation. Position is an independent contractor, and schedule is variable. Referrals are not guaranteed. No employee benefits are provided. Contractor required having their own professional liability insurance. Mileage for travel is not reimbursed. Contractor is provided a flat fee per assessment.
