Kforce is seeking a Cash Applications Specialist and A/R professional for a San Antonio, Texas client. This position provides support to the markets. The markets will email requests for refunds, adjustments, bad debt, credit card charges, ACH payments, posting errors, and other general questions. This role will prepare monthly aging reports and resolve the credits per the instructions received from the market. Specific Functions: Research and aging credits Creating tickets on a daily basis Gathering back-up documentation for requests received from the markets; and replying and forwarding emails or information to other teams as necessary Resolve/close tickets on a daily basis Monitor the A/R Mailbox according to the set monthly schedule Read and review all emails and attachments received in the A/R Mailbox Research possible posting errors and document the error log when necessary Transfer payments between markets and accounts as necessary Prepare monthly aging reports for all assigned markets Review and complete requests received from the markets in response to the aging report Make decisions for next step of action based on information received from the markets Prepare refund and adjustment requests to be submitted to the Refunds/Adjustment Team Manage outgoing/incoming calls and emails with excellent customer service Update spreadsheets and logs Update departmental spreadsheets when necessary Work on special projects In a timely manner, gather support for audit requests Perform special project requests as needed As the successful applicant, you will possess the following requirements: A High School Diploma or equivalent education 1-2 years of relevant account receivables experience 1-2 years of relevant customer service experience Excellent attention to detail ability and willingness to take initiative Well organized; a great self-starter with the ability to get things done in a team-oriented environment Solid analytic skills Firm focus on process improvement Ability to produce at a high level in a fast paced environment Effective time management - ability to prioritize tasks and job functions Clear verbal and written communication skills
