Long term contract Financial services, projects, development Agile, XP, variety, challenge This leading Melbourne based financial services company is a leader in a very competitive industry where new product development and implementation provides genuine competitive advantage and they are looking for an experienced, dynamic contract Senior Analyst/Programmer to join their team. Reporting to a Technical Project Manager you will be working with a very experienced team of developers, architects, BAs and systems analysts, providing a mixture of systems analysis, technical design and software development activities using C, C++ and SQLServer and testing on a number of new product development and enhancements projects on a very large, complex financial services application. This is a senior role in an experienced team on a very complex application so to qualify for this opportunity you must be able to demonstrate: At least 10 years experience in software development using C, C++ and SQLServer stored procedures and a variety of different approaches such as agile and XP; Excellent technical analysis, problem solving and design skills including experience developing technical and functional specifications and technical design documents; Ability to work in a team, and work with a variety of BAs, testers, systems analysts and the business as required; Experience working on large complex applications; Ability to pick up and learn quickly, and; Any experience in financial services would be highly regarded.
