The candidate must have strong knowledge in Juniper routing and Cisco routing and will need to understand Cisco: MPLS, NAT, BGP, IPSEC tunnel configuration, Frame Relay, ATM, Ethernet configurations. Candidate must also understand Juniper Router configuration with use of BGP, policies, IPSEC, route targets, route distinguisher. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Installation, configuration and maintenance of the server hardware and software systems - Serves as a backup and mentor to the Desktop Specialist, providing end-user and application support as necessary - System backup and restore procedures - Security and patch management - Evaluation and implementation of new technologies Qualifications: - MCSA strongly preferred - MCSE, Citrix, Cisco, or individual Microsoft server certifications a plus - Desktop OS certifications (XP/Visa) a plus - Excellent troubleshooting skills - Strong knowledge of five or more of the following: o Windows 2003 Server and Active Directory (all aspects) o Windows scripting o SQL Server o Citrix Presentation Server o SMS / System Center / Operations Manager o ISA Server o SharePoint Server o Virtualization o Backup software and processes o Cisco Call Manager o SAN/NAS/storage o Cisco switches Education: An Associate's Degree or higher in Computer Science is desirable but not required. CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, Microsoft Desktop and Server operating systems certifications (MCP) are also highly desirable, Experience: Four plus years of experience in related area of work and level of responsibilities is preferred. Must have strong oral and written communication skills. Must have Windows XP/Server/Vista, Linux/Unix experience. Must be able to life/move equipment (30-50 lbs).
