TEKsystems has partnered with a great local Omaha company to provide them with candidates to fulfill a Quality Assurance Tester role on a 5 month contract basis. This position has a high probability to go past 5 months. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Evaluates and tests new or modified web applications and web sites to verify that applications functions according to user requirements and conform to standards. Responsible for the automation of test plans, test cases and test scripts within automated testing tools. Assists in writing user functional requirements. Creates, and modifies user documentation, training documents, and work flows based user requirements and application design. Reviews test results to identify program processing errors. Recommends program improvements or corrections to developers. Writes, revises, and verifies quality standards and test procedures. Creates test plans and test scripts based on functional requirements and design. Identifies differences between establishment standards and user applications and suggests modifications to conform to standards. Conducts compatibility tests with vendor-provided programs Assist with user training after the application is tested. Monitors program performance after implementation.
