Our client, a leading specialist in the provision of managed services solutions for operating internet and enterprise applications, is looking for an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Specialist to join their highly skilled team on a three month fixed term contract with the possibility of becoming permanent. You will be joining an incredibly diverse, talented and committed team of people whose focus is squarely on working together to keep critical applications running 24 hours a day. Reporting to the Technical Operations Manager, as an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Specialist, you will be involved in the design, build and support of AWS cloud solutions. Working as part of the AWS service development team, you will help expand the AWS service design and implementation, as well as help build solutions around clients� specific needs. Your other duties will include; - Customising and developing the use of configuration management tools - Using AWS CloudFormation to design and automate the provision of AWS client solutions - Providing AWS knowledge and expertise to support the design of client solutions - Troubleshooting and resolving complex issues, from OS and application faults to improving solution design To be considered, you must have: - Strong Linux experience - Experience of at least one of the following: RHEL, CentOS and Amazon Linux - Experience of working with AWS services and solutions Whilst not essential, as an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Specialist, any of the following would be beneficial: CloudFormation (or any other provisioning tools), Ubuntu, Debian, EBS, ELB, Route 53, RDS, CloudWatch, VPC and/or Auto Scaling.
