Oversee multiple projects using Agile development methodologies with geographically distributed teams Act as primary technical representative for UI team Collaborate with product managers, designers, and software engineers to ensure design vision is maintained, final markup is standards compliant, and UI deliverables are completed on time Identify areas for UI process, standards, and environment improvements; and then executing a plan to make needed improvements Explore new technologies/industry trends and technical innovation Ownership of UI layer health - code reviews, performance monitoring/improvements, release management, production support Handle multiple project requirements and make appropriate technical decisions Facilitate complex cross-team problem solving and effective technical conflict resolution Understands overall product vision, provides recommendations for product features keeping technical challenges in mind Manage UI team processes, improve team performance, mentor and develop individual team members Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, experience with at least one JavaScript framework Experience coding server-side page generation (preferably JSP) Passion for usability Desire to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment 4+ years developing user-facing web interfaces BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent Strong communication and teamwork skills Strong problem solving skills and the ability to address complex problems with innovative solutions Strong command of cross-browser development techniques and browser degradation strategies Extremely familiar with advanced CSS concepts and technique Knowledge of HTML 5 and CSS 3
