Business Analyst (Stockbroking/Financial Services - Up to £350.00 per day - Birmingham - 6 Months My global financial services client has an urgent requirement for an experienced Business Analyst with Stockbroking or Financial Services industry experience. The successful candidate will form part of the Analysis team and have a good understanding of execution-only stockbroking, typically gained via a number of operational department/roles throughout the business. Essential Skills: Experience of involvement in IT projects in an analysis role (Business and Systems Analysis). Stockbroking and experience using a number of core systems such as JHC Figaro and Order Routing. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. The ability to discuss and explain complex issues to all levels, ability to work in a team but also be able to self-motivate under limited supervision. Excellent customer service skills in order to support both internal and external customers. A proven ability to develop detailed understanding and expertise on complex software systems, knowledge of structured application development methods and techniques. Understanding of systems architecture and design concepts, ideally in online transactional environments. IT knowledge and understanding: Web technologies, specifically on a J2EE platform, Lotus Notes & Domino applications, IBM iSeries/AS400 platform, particularly DB2 and RPG.
