Utility Surveyor

MWH Farrer are currently seeking a Utility Surveryor for the North West of England and Scotland (Paisley). Principal Duties : Candidate is required to operate as lead surveyor within a 2 / 3 man Underground Utility and Topographical Survey team. This role involves, but is not limited too: Team coordination and adherence to programmes Ability to accurately complete surveys to required technical standards and client scope requirements. Confidence in dealing with sub contractored staff and operations on site Liaison with clients operational staff, Third Parties, Office AutoCad Technicians and Project Managers Key job requirements : 1. Flexibility to work any hours as directed, including nights and weekend, which will include a significant proportion of working away from home. 2. Full driving licence 3. Technical knowledge and practical experience in the use of GPR and ElectroMagnetic surveying techniques. 4. Technical knowledge and practical experience in the use of GPS Surveying equipment 5. Abiltiy to manage own work programme and a lead a team. Working conditions : Works will be outside based on a usual shift pattern of 8hr shifts (excluding travelling). Works are required to be flexible including nights, weekends and working away from home. Additional information: Candidate is required to be physically fit and is required to pass a medical prior to commencement of work. Candidate is required to have a full UK driving licence. PERSONNEL REQUIREMENTS Qualifications : Essen tial Computer Literacy Desireable, but not essential: Minimum - 5 GCSE’s grade A – C or equivalent CSCS – Operative or above LTU Benchmark Training or Simular EUSR – Water Hygiene Card First Aid Qualification Confined Space Entry PTS Initial or higher (Railway) EUSR – National Grid Person Training BESC – Substation BESC - OHL Skills / Knowledge/experience:: Experience and practical knowledge of GPR and Electromagnetic survey techniques Experience and practical knowledge of GPS and / or Total St ation surveying. Other requirements: Full UK driving licence Level of fitness
